Abstract (EN)

Technological advances in the recovery and use of lithium and cerium rare earth elements, which are elements used as semiconductors in the electronics sector, have gained importance. It is known that rare earth elements, which are among the engineering nanoparticles, become highly reactive and physicochemically dynamic in environmental environments, under sunlight, and pose a risk to the environment. Therefore, in this study, it was aimed to investigate the recovery capacity by adsorption with carboksi-metil-celüloz (CMC)- based hydrogel composites, which are defined as cheap, stable and biological products and used in the removal of many metals. In this study, cerium and lithium solutions were prepared in distilled water. Adsorption and desorptive recovery of them were targeted from aqveous solutions. Cerium has been well recovered during adsorption-desorption while adsorption lithium was weak. Adsorption efficiency of cerium (III) was calculated four the S1 hydrogel and isotherm models were derived. As a result, adsorption efficency of cerium reached a %87, and a %100 of adsorloed cerium could be recovered by desorption.
