Abstract (EN)
Thermal energy storage is very important for solving engineering problems such as the time delay between production and consumption of energy, energy security and thermal inertia. Because the demand for energy is increasing day by day concordantly energy production, consumption, enough to meet the direction does not show an increase. Therefore, alternative energy sources ensuring energy security and energy storage techniques have increased recently. Phase change materials (PCM) are used for different thermal systems for many years a thermal energy storage element. In this thesis, the metal or metal oxide nanoparticles with good thermal conductivity is poor in PCM by the addition of eutectic PCM, nanoparticle additive phase change materials (NPAPCM) were prepared. As PCM, myristic acid (90%) and thiosinamine (10%) was obtained by using the eutectic mixture. To increase the thermal conductivity of NPAPCM?s was used as copper oxide nanoparticle (1%). Eutectic PCM and NPAPCM's used thermal properties was determined by DSC, SEM, FT-IR, XRD, PCR and KD2 Pro devices. Eutectic PCM and NPAPCM's melting point and thermal conductivity was found 55.61 °C, 56.66 °C and 0.1 W/m°C, 0.11 W / m°C, respectively. Prepared eutectic PCM and NPAPCM melting and solidification process is investigated experimentally in a cylindrical tank. In the experiment, at different temperatures (in order to melting 77, 75, 73 and 70 °C, in order to solidification; 20 and 25 °C) and different flow rates (2, 3, 4 kg/min) was studied. Experimental results show that melting and solidification time NPAPCM's according to the eutectic PCM 12.5% with 63% and 27% with 33% decrease.
