Views of the subject in Nazım Hikmet poems

This study focuses on the problematic of the subject in Nâzım Hikmet's poems. Nâzım Hikmet did not only see poetry as a means of reflecting and spreading emotions or thoughts, but also presented examples of their formation through poetry. In these examples, he started not from the idea of the subject living based on a fixed and pre-given system, but from the transforming and transforming effect of the subject. Seeing that political, social and subjective are not separated from each other, Nâzım Hikmet expanded the boundaries of genres within the framework of his poetics and realized that writing text is also creating an opportunity. At this point, it becomes necessary not to overlook the subjective and social when examining his poetry. Although political, social and societal perspectives are important, they may remain incomplete when evaluating the poetry of Nâzım Hikmet, a pioneer poet. From the point of view tried to be developed in this study, Nâzım Hikmet's poetry has been discussed as interrelated phenomena in terms of both form and content and text production strategies, and the concepts of the schizoanalytic perspective pioneered by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari have been used. Many starting points, such as schizoanalysis's view of philosophy as a way of producing concepts, its placing of desire on the basis of subjective and social production, and the proliferation of concepts by establishing relationships with each other instead of fixed conceptual fields, formed the premise of the study in the context of poetry. Tradition and future views in poetry, Nâzım Hikmet's establishment of himself as a poet subject, and poetry production strategies were approached within the framework of the subject problematic of schizoanalysis. The poet's relationship with genres, his perspective on tradition, the place he gives to poetry in life and his constructs of subjectivity have been tried to be analyzed from the same framework. For this analysis, narrative poems, which are the texts in which the poet establishes the mentioned relationships the most, are included.
