Abstract (EN)

Language is the most important means of transferring the material and spiritual elements of a society to future generations. Language reflects the characteristics of the society to which it belongs, and it changes and develops in time. However, alternation of the syntax rules in the language is more difficult than other alternations. The basic syntatic rule of the Turkish language is that while the auxiliary element takes part at the beginning of the sentence, the main element, predicate, at the end. Literary texts are the best indicators of the syntactic features of the language. Analyzing the syntax in literary texts proves that the sentence structure of Turkish is not formed randomly, on the contrary, it is formed within the framework of certain rules. In this study, it is aimed to identify and reveal the word groups and sentences, which are syntax elements in Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's novel, Identity Card. Mainly based on the two classifications made by Leyla Karahan on the sentence types and also using other sources, the syntax elements in the novel were identified by using the source scanning method in our study. By classifying the word groups, sentence elements and sentence types that we identified in the first edition of the work, they are edited in alphabetical order together with the page numbers which they are on in the novel. Our findings and evaluations are included in the conclusion section. Using the acquired numerical findings, it was observed that Necip Fazıl Kısakürek effectively used the syntax elements and complied with the syntatic rules of the Turkish language in his novel "Kafa Kâğıdı (Identity Card)". With this study, the features of the syntax, which preserves the basic rules of the Turkish language from the Orkhun Inscriptions to the present, and the richness of the Turkish language have been found out based on Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's novel "Kafa Kâğıdı (Identity Card)". It is expected that the etected syntax features and examples will contribute to the studies on Turkish syntax.
