Abstract (EN)

With the local themes and daily life's reflection in Literature in the 18th century, localisation in the literary works have become observable. One of the main aims of the poets became to reflect the living style, language, understanding and pleasures of the local people in their poems. Among these poetry style poets, Nedim is an exceptional one whose name is specific to the period and his works' reflections could be seen in the following generations. Among his contemporaries, although there have been other poets in the same society, none could manage to reflect the soul of the period like Nedim. In his works, architecture such as Istanbul, Bosphorous, pavilions, palaces, fountains and entertainment of the time have been pictured succesfully. Although written in verse, the vividness and richness in narration made it possible for us to study the reflection of the language of the period in the work phonetically and morphologically. The data we have gathered during the study proves that the language of the work is substantially coherent with the language of the period. Key words: 18th Century Ottoman Turkish, Osmanlı Türkçesi, Tulip Period, Localisation, Nedîm.
