Abstract (EN)
The human beings must work to afford their needs and have better life standards. The working places consist of more than one worker mostly. This situation takes us to the organizational issues such as nepotism, organizational cynicism and relationships between them. Nepotism provides positions or promotions in the working places for the people who are considered incapable due to the kinship. On the other hand, organizational cynicism is related to the negative situation of the workers towards organizations. It is defined as a negative attitude in terms of belief, affect and behavior in the study named Organizational Cynicism managed by Dean, Brandes ve Dharwadkar in 1998. Using the method of inquiry, this survey performed on totally 88 workers in a regional public organization and its combined divisions existing in Seyhan District of Adana City in Turkey. The results of this investigation show that there is a meaningful but reverse relationship between nepotism and the organizational cynicism's belief dimension. In addition to this, there is a non-meaningful relationship between nepotism and dimensions of organizational cynicism such as affect and behavior.
