Abstract (EN)

This thesis presents the argument that pervades the whole of Nietzsche's philosophy that life can only be justified aesthetically, through the genealogy of his text, The Birth of Tragedy. Theme of the thesis is determined by how the cultural change takes place from the tragic worldview that justifies our existence aesthetically towards the scientific worldview that is constructed in the light of logical truths. Unearthing the changing process from the union of Apollon-Dionysos to the opposition of Socrates Dionysos, the genealogy of The Birth of Tragedy questions the possibilities, such as dream-ecstasy and logical thought, inherent in human existence. In this context, the coexistence of Apollo and Dionysus as a static-ecstatis tension brings life and our existence together at the same tragic origin. On the other hand, he considers the change that results in corruption or cultural collapse as the result of the gradual suppression of the possibilities of ecstasy and dream/illusion. This study makes the illusion-truth relationship in which creativity and interpretation can never be separated from each other visible in the context of Apollo. The main argument of this thesis is that the relationship between Apollo and illusion can be understood in the unity established by the genealogy's method accompanied by the concepts developed later by Nietzsche, which are amor fati, will to power, decadence, eternal return.
