Abstract (EN)

This study examines religious and historical references in the literary works of Qatari literature and story writer Nura Muhammed Farac. The absence of any academic study other than a book translation on the book, the author and his works made it necessary to focus on Farac, one of the advanced writers of Arabic literature, and his works. In this regard, religious and historical references were revealed in Nura Muhammed Farac's works, and how the character was applied in storytelling and how it was used in the plot was analyzed. In this period, when Arab storytelling broke away from tradition and transitioned to modernity and the number of female story writers increased, women writers left behind the works they published hiding behind pseudonyms with the beginning of a new era and revealed them on themes such as women's freedom, anxiety and rebellion. In this sense, there have been female writers who managed to make a name for themselves in Qatari literature and stand out with their stories, such as Nura Muhammed Farac. Farac, who aims to take the reader on an inner thought journey with the mystery and curiosity he carries in his fiction, has made great use of metaphors and symbols in his narrative. This review consists of a preface, an introduction, two chapters, an interview with the author and a conclusion. Starting with the life, literary personality and world of thought of Qatari literature and story writer Nura Muhammed Farac, the reference and the factors affecting the reference, and finally, a detailed perspective of Farac's three works, one of which is a novel and the other two are story books, in the context of their religious and historical references aims to present.
