Abstract (EN)
Buildings have undergone transformations parallel to the changes in social and physical conditions throughout history. Today, offices, as living spaces that accommodate a large portion of the population, form an important part of these transformation processes. Office interiors are in a constant evolution, aligned with the harmony between space, users, and changing needs. The aim of this study was to examine the transformation of office interiors over time. Specifically, the factors that influence offices and the transformation processes they undergo were investigated. The study aimed to emphasize the design criteria that shape office buildings according to user needs, the evolving design approaches over time, and the importance of harmonious designs. To understand their real-world implications, Autoban Architecture Office was chosen as an example of an architecture office that has undergone transformation. The transformation processes of the office interiors were examined and compared with theoretical findings, and the effects of functional changes on employee productivity were evaluated. The study was deepened through a comprehensive literature review and qualitative observations and interviews conducted at Autoban Architecture Office. These methods were used to analyze the transformation processes of office interiors and develop strategies to increase user satisfaction. The importance of designing office interiors according to perceptual variables was emphasized, and suggestions were provided.
