Observing the belonging of the requirements of the students that they are attenging

The purpose of the study is, to develop ?The Scale of Belonging to University? which determines the level of fulfillment of the requirements of belonging the university students and higher education institution that they are attending and examining, according to several variables, the status of belonging to the universities that they educate. The university students, who are studying in Ordu Univercity, cover the universe of the research . In this study 5-point Likert-type scale has been created.In the statistical analysis for the development of the scale; SPSS 15 and LISREL-8:15 programs have been benefitted. For validity analysis, content validity and techniques of construct validity have been used. The supervision of the internal consistency of The Scale of Belonging to University have been evaluated.The research data have been given as average and percentage. The values of belonging to the university and in order to determine the differences between groups, t-test and one-way analysis of variance have been performed.The internal consistency reliability coefficient of Cronbach's ? values and the results of the test-retest reliability have been found adequate. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes have been done for construct validity of scale and it has been reached to three dimensions (motivation, expectation and Identification).As a result of examining the scales which is tasted the validity and reliability of university students the levels of belonging to the university that they are attending. The recommendations have been presented depending on the results which are obtained.Key Words: The Scale of Belonging to University, University students,expectation, motivation, identification
