Abstract (EN)

Social media are programs designed to help people come together to communicate and interact with each other. It is clear that communication and sharing are fundamental to learning and can also offer new opportunities for learning (Roblyer et al., 2010). Teachers are the most important component of educational systems. This research aims to understand the relationship between the use of social media and the self-efficacy level of pre-service teachers in the light of various variables (sex, department, father's education level, mother's education level). In this study, data were collected from 199 ğre-service teachers by questionaire and the correlational research method was applied. In this study, the use of social media according to the demographic information of the prospective teachers was examined. In addition, a statistically significant correlation between the level of social media use of teacher candidates and the teaching self-efficacy has been examined. In addition, differences were found between pre-service teachers' self-efficacy scores according to demographic information of preservice teachers. The analysis results are presented in a detailed way. Key Words: Social Media, self-efficacy, pre-service teacher. 2017, 75 Pages Science Code: 101
