Teacher?s body language perception by students

Communication is a concept that lives with/along human beings all through their life. That?s why; this concept is given as one of the names of the contemporary age. The first thing coming into one?s mind is verbal communication as the way of communication. However, the research reveals that the non-verbal communication or the body language is as important as the verbal communication to express the feelings and ideas.In this study,It has been staded that how the students perceive their teachers? bady languages. In doing so, responds of the students to teachers? body language is used as an indicator of this correlation. Results suggest that body language has significant positive effect on the success of the students and also on the class management.The work consists of mainly three parts. In the first part, the basic literature of the concept of the communication and the class management is covered, then in the second part, the concept of body language is explained and evaluated. Finally, results of the questionnaire, surveyed on the students of high school students of Esenler, Istanbul (number of the participants is 1116), is elaborately evaluated supporting the argument that the usage of body language in the classroom improves the effective learning process and increases the students success.Key Words:The usage of body language while managing class,class management.,non-verbal communication, communication,image.
