Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between the leadership styles of school principals and teachers' perceptions of school culture according to the opinions of teachers. Quantitative data collection method was used in the study where relational screening models were used. In the research, transformational, laissez-faire and continuationist leadership styles and support, achievement, task and bureaucratic culture dimensions were examined. Data were collected through a survey method including scales with proven validity and reliability. The research findings show that the leadership styles adopted by school principals create significant effects on the school culture perceived by teachers. In particular, it was determined that the transformational leadership style was positively correlated with the dimensions of support, achievement and task-oriented school culture. This reveals that leadership styles create a cultural structure that develops around trust, cooperation, motivation and common purpose in the school. In the analyses made according to the gender variable, significant differences were found in favor of female teachers in the task culture and total school culture scores. Significant differences were found only in the laissez-faire leadership style according to the age variable. A significant difference was seen in the leadership styles and school culture dimensions in the variables of educational status and professional seniority. However, significant differences were found in transformational leadership, support culture and task culture according to the number of teachers; It has been revealed that these dimensions are higher in schools with fewer teachers. According to the correlation analysis, positive relationships were found between transformational leadership and support, success and task culture, and negative relationships were found between laissez-faire leadership and positive dimensions of school culture. According to the regression analysis results, it was determined that the leadership styles of school principals have a significant and moderate effect on school culture. As a result, in the light of the findings of this study, it is seen that leadership styles play an important role in the formation of a positive school culture. 2025, xii + 103 Pages Keywords: Teacher, School principal, Leadership, School culture
