Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the Instructor Leadership Behaviors and Teacher Opinions about Job Satisfactory Traits of School Principals who are administrators in secondary schools in Bayrampaşa district of İstanbul province. Minnesota Satisfaction Scale was used to determine job satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed by frequency distribution, descriptive statistics, Kruskall Wallis, Mann Whitney U and Pearson tests in SPSS 17 program. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the levels of internal satisfaction in the professional experience parameter and 0.05, and there was a positive correlation between the teachers' opinions and the job satisfaction scores. 11 questionnaires were applied for our study. The questionnaire consisted of 16 questions in order to determine the opinions of the teachers about the school principal. The questionnaire was prepared in four subsections. They were the source of the provider, the educational resource, the communicator, and the school principal as a visible person. Each sub-section consisted mainly of three phrases and the fourth as the "other" option. Since there was no questionnaire responded to this option, questionnaire scoring and evaluation were done on 12 expressions. Expressions directed at the participants were prepared in the form of answers based on their own opinions, which they would give to open-ended questions. Questionnaires prepared as a qualitative research study were evaluated one by one. A categorical data set was obtained by giving 1 for unfavorable answers given, 2 for unstable or negative and negative responses, and 3 for positive opinion. The answers given for each sub-section were summed to score and the general questionnaire score was obtained from the sum of the scores belonging to four sub-divisions. SPSS 19.0 package program was used to analyze the data set. The frequency and percentages of categorical variables and the mean and standard deviation of the survey scores were calculated. Spearman's Rho analysis was used to correlate the scores of the sub-segments. The Type-I error rate was evaluated at 5%. Keywords: Instructional Leadership, Management, Job Satisfaction.
