Energy efficient improvement strategies in preschool education buildings

As all over the world, the number of educational structures in Turkey is quite high. The number of preschool education structures in all these educational structures is also significant. Since the 18th century, preschool education has started to take its place at an education level in its own unique structures and it has brought with it the concept of "preschool education structure". Looking at today's conditions, preschool education structures in our country are built as an independent department as well as operating within normal educational structures. In this context, as with all other structural typologies, preschool education structures need to be examined and evaluated in the context of energy efficiency. With the correct use of energy and ensuring energy efficiency, energy effective improvement strategies and design parameters are one of the issues that should be emphasized in preschool educational structures as well as in all structures. It is clear that the pre-use training structures need to be designed energy efficiently and the existing structures that are still in use need to be improved. The fact that not much work has been done on the energy efficient design of preschool education structures in the literature has formed the basis for the realization of this thesis study. In the introduction section, information about the purpose, method and scope of the research is given. In the theoretical foundations and resource research section, information about the importance of preschool education, its historical development and preschool education structures are given. In addition, the concept of energy, energy efficiency has been informed, factors affecting energy consumption and studies to minimize consumption against them have been mentioned. In the material and method section, energy efficient preschool education structures, which are primarily designed and used on a national and international scale, are examined. In the findings section, solutions for energy efficiency are included in the proposals that will reduce the current energy consumption in preschool educational structures.
