Preschool teachers' opinions on religion and values education: A qualitative study

This study aims to examine the views of preschool teachers on religion and values education, who play a major role in the child's life. In this context, the developmental characteristics of the 3-6 age period are handled, followed by the pre-school religious development and value development. In the last part of the study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 13 preschool teachers working in official pre-school education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. The data obtained from these interviews were tried to be examined under three main headings: the views of preschool teachers on religious education, their views on values education, and the views of preschool teachers on giving religion and values education both together.
