Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to examine the perceptions of school administrators about self-efficacy in terms of various variables. The population of the research consists of 76 kindergartens, 1215 elementary schools, 622 middle schools and 189 high school principals in Şanlıurfa province in 2016-2017 academic year. The survey sample consisted of 250 school directors elected by random cluster sampling method. In order to reach a sufficient sample size, the Provincial Directorate of National Education went to a meeting held with the directors and benefited from the purpose sampling method. This study is in the descriptive scanning model. Yildirim and İlhan (2010) used the Turkish version of the General Self-Efficacy Scale as the data collection tool in the study. In the analysis of the data; Percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and DFA scores were calculated by using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS programs. Mann-Whitney-U for learning status change; Kruskal-Wallis H test techniques were used for the variables such as managerial seniority, school place and school type. Significance level in the study was taken as 0.05. As a result of this study, school principals' self-efficacy perceptions were found to be "high". Self-efficacy perceptions of school principals don't show any significant difference according to their education status and seniority of management. According to the settlement area where the school is located, significant difference was detected in the undecided sub-dimension. This difference is in favor of school principals working in the village. According to the type of school, there was a significant difference between the scale and the scale. The difference is against high school principals.
