School of administrators' attitudes towards sports and investigation of opinions of women on their participation in sport events (Bartın example)

The aim of this research is to show the school administrators' attitudes towards the sport and their views on the participation of women in sports events. While the universe of the work was constituted by the school administrators who worked in the province of Bartın in the 2016-2017 academic year, 125 school administrators constituted the sample. The research data were collected between 01.04.2016 - 31.05.2016. The data of the study were developed by Şentürk (2012), "Sports Attitude Scale" consisting of 25 questions and 3 sub-dimensions and "Questionnaire about participation of women in sports activities" developed by Kızılyallı (2014) and composed of 39 questions and five Likert type measurement tools with solid.. Whether or not there is a difference between participants' opinions according to sex by t test, if there is a difference between opinions according to other variables, it is done by one way variance analysis. As a result of the research; Bartin's school administrators' attitudes towards sport and women's views on sport participation were positive. Tests to determine whether there is a difference between the personal information of the administrators participating in the survey and the scores they receive from the scales the attitudes of the managers to the sport with the variables such as "gender", "age", "number of children", "years of service", "duration of managerial service", "school type", "sporting status", "sporting level" statistically significant differences were found between the views of women on participation in sports events, no statistically significant differences were found in the variables of "school type and duty type".
