Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between the technological leadership behaviors of school principals and the level of teachers' use of information technologies. The relational survey model has been used in the research. The population of this research consists of 2006 teachers working in 130 schools, 12 preschools (101 teachers), 54 primary schools (680 teachers), 39 secondary schools (835 teachers), 25 high schools (390 teachers) in the city center of Siirt during the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study consists of a total of 367 teachers working in 8 preschools (35 preschool teachers), 20 primary schools (145 classroom teachers), 15 secondary schools 116 (branch teachers), and 10 high schools (71 branch teachers) selected by simple random method from schools in the city center of Siirt. In this research, the data has been collected through "School Principal Technological Leadership Behavior Scale (SPTLB-S)" and Scale for Determining Teachers' Levels of Information Technology Use". The collected data related to the research has been analyzed via IBM SPSS 21.00 and LISREL 8.80 statistical package programs. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation, and regression analysis techniques have been used. As a result of the research, it has been determined that both the perceptions of school principals on technological leadership behaviors and the level of use of information technologies by teachers are rated as "I agree/high" in general. According to the teachers' perceptions of the technological leadership behaviors of school administrators by age, education level, working time with the school principal and professional seniority; It has been observed that teachers' information technology usage levels differ significantly according to gender, age, the status of having previously received an in-service training related to educational technology, the level of education, the education status and professional seniority. In addition, it has been determined that there is a positive and moderately significant relationship between the technological leadership behaviors of school administrators and the level of teachers' use of information technologies. As a result of the regression analysis, it has been concluded that the technological leadership behaviors of the school administrators significantly predicted the level of use of information technologies by the teachers.
