Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study is to adapt the Organ Transplant Effects Questionnaire (TxQE) to Turkish and to determine their reliability and validity. Method: The sample of this methodologically planned study consisted of 418 kidney transplant recipients who agreed to participate in the study between November 2019 and February 2020. In the collection of data; Individual Identification Form, TxEQ, and Quality of Life Scale SF-36 were used. SPSS for Windows 23 and AMOS 21 programs were used to evaluate the obtained data. In validity analysis; language validity, content validity, criterion-dependent validity and construct validity analyzes were used. In reliability analysis; test-retest, internal consistency and item analyzes were performed. Results: The adaptation and translation process procedure of the scale recommended by WHO were used in the scale's valid language. For the content validity, opinions of 18 experts were taken and it was determined that the experts were in agreement about the scale items. As a result of the EFA, a five-factor structure was determined with the factor load value varying between 0.456 and 0.932. In addition, factor loading values between 0.334 and 0.958 in the CFA result and RMSEA 0.067; AGFI 0.852; CFI 0.917; Goodness-of-fit indices with GFI: 0.883, χ2: 2.878 were determined. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.777 for the worry about transplant factor, 0.830, for the guilt regarding donor factor, 0.924 for the disclosure factor, 0.825 for the adherence factor, and 0.760 for the responsibility factor. As a result of the test-retest, statistically significant correlation values between 0.679 and 0.919 were determined. Conclusion: In the study, it was concluded that the Transplant Effects Questionnaire adapted to Turkish is valid and reliable. As a result of the study, ONEA five-factor structure was verified with the confirmatory factor analysis. It was determined that ONEA was a valid and reliable instrument for in kidney transplant recipients.
