Use of technology and performance relationship in organizations : The case of Turkish banking system

Abstract (EN)
In this paper, the correlation between performance in organizations and technology usage that has gradually increasing importance day by day, particularly connections of bank performances with the usage of online banking and the direction of correlation, have tested in financial, organizational and human resources aspects. In order to research this relation, annual datas of banks providing online banking services in 2006-2014 period are subjected to correlation analysis using SPSS statistics program. According to results, a high and positive correlation observed between online banking transactions and organizational perspective. So, organizational structure of banks has expanded with the increases in online banking transactions. Relation between human resources and online banking transactions emerged in high levels. However, they are negatively correlated when education level of bank employees is low. Whenever the education level rises, relation turned into positive. Lastly, financial perspective (ratios) and online banking transactions are slightly correlated. Even there is no connection found in some sub-criterias. In criterias which have connections, a negative relation occured in almost entire sub-criterias except ratios of branch offices.
