Abstract (EN)

The endless change efforts by organizations in order to provide effectiveness and efficiency under highly unpredicted business environment, rapid technological change and process of globalization created the workforce which instead of being loyal and performing better than it is expected has lost their trust on organizations. Such a tendency occurs worldwide, therefore, in order to understand commitment entirely, there is need for value systems in which processes and mechanisms operate to be discovered. On the whole, the term culture includes factors such as: values, beliefs, norms, traditions, customs, ideas, arts, skills and language of particular group. Accordingly, cross-cultural researches deal with differences of those factors with regard to economic, political, social and legal frameworks.Organizational commitment and work related cultural values are examined in case of Turkish Republic and Republic of Kazakhstan, which are representatives of Turkic culture and have strong linkages from cultural point of view. Data of 381 workers from banking and manufacturing industries are used and commitment trends in relation to cultural value patterns are analyzed in the study.Keywords: Organizational commitment, Culture, Turkic culture, Turkey, Kazakhstan.
