Abstract (EN)

In this study, organizational climate's effect on the affective organizational commitments and job satisfactions of the employees was investigated. Organizational climate is expressed as the atmosphere/mood perceived indirectly or directly by the employees of the organization. Organizational climate may be effective on several organizational variables, especially the behaviors and attitudes of the employees within the organization. In this research, the data were collected with a survey applied to 362 people who were working in 4 or 5-star hotel enterprises in Adana and Mersin. The survey consists of three scales: 30-item Organizational Climate Scale, 6-item Affective Commitment Scale and 9-item Job Satisfaction Scale. The data obtained from the participants were analyzed via IBM SPSS Statistics 17.00. Data analyses were executed over the total scores obtained from the scales. Consequently, it was discovered that there was a significant positive relationship between the organizational climate, organizational commitment and job satisfactions of the employees, and that the organizational climate affected the organizational commitment and job satisfaction levels of the employees in a positive way. Moreover, as a result of the multilinear regression analyses, the dimensions of organizational structure, reward, working environment and support, which are among the sub-dimensions of the organizational climate, were seen to play a role in the affective commitments and job satisfactions of the employees.
