Abstract (EN)
Humans have always had and will always have the desire to hold power. Especially in organizations, all individuals , leader or not, need to possess power, maintain power and manipulate others with it into playing according to the power holders wants and needs. This need can easily be observed from the smallest of organizations ( family, school, friend circles) to the most complex. Many studies have been undertaken, and numerous papers have been written by various academicians and researchers over the subjects `Power? and `Organizational Power? until today, however, the number of studies that have been developed in Turkey is strikingly low. This is because the terms associated with `Power? and `Usage of Power? are still perceived in a pejorative light in our culture and society, when actually `power? is a vital organ in management. Without `power? and `implication of power?, individuals cannot be directed towards certain goals or be managed to reach them.As interesting as a subject the reaction to power is, it hasn?t been really paid much attention to. It is quite difficult to comprehend and manage individuals without fully understanding the reaction to power in organizations. Ignoring the `power? fact is only going to add to existing management problems in organizations when today studies are being held on by what the human source is effected and in what way.Key Words: Power, Organizational power, Power sources, Power reactions.
