Abstract (EN)

The companies which want to gain competitive superiority expect a great success from their enterprise resource planning software. Costly, complex and time consuming process of enterprise resource planning softwares cause a big failure of these softwares.The aim of our study is to define organizational factors needed to be considered to use enterprise resource planning softwares successfully and to analyze effect of organizational factors on application success of enterprise resource planning and to analyze reflections of the application success of ERP (enterprise resource planning) on organizational performance and to make suggestions.Within this framework, this study focused on organizational factors affecting success of enterprise resource planning in the level of strategic management. These factors are, support of executives, CEO-IT familiarity, growth of business process and strategic intent. At the same time, reflections of ERP success on organizational success is analyzed in this study. The study is clarified with a survey about enterprises operating in Turkey and the enterprises whose shares are publicly traded in Istanbul Stock Exchange. The study intends to contribute to success of ERP applications which are widely used.
