Textlinguistics analysis of Orhan Pamuk's novel Kirmizi Saçli Kadin

The importance of written or verbal communication for people reveals the importance of language. For this reason, studies have been carried out on behalf of language since ancient times. One of these studies is text studies. The adventure of text studies begins with rhetoric, continues with stylistics, and finally takes its present form as text linguistics. One of the most accurate definitions of language so far is that language is a string. The regular system and systematic structure of the language constitute the concept of coherence, which is called the micro structure in the surface structure of the text. Coherence is one of the main concepts of the harmony in the surface structure of the text and the rules of association in its holistic structure. It is thanks to the grammatical rules in the surface structure that the sentences come together and reveal a meaningful structure. Meaning is reached as a result of the grammatical sequence brought by the coherence belonging to the surface structure and the coherence of consistency, known as macro structure, which represents the deep structure and is perceived by establishing logical relations at the same time. After the micro structure construction and the macro structure , the superstructure investigation begins. Superstructure is a study related to the general genre of the text, fed by micro structure and macro structure, and mostly oriented to the genre to which the text belongs. The superstructure stage, which is for the genre of the text, is also the last stage of the text analysis in general. The database of our Kırmızı Saçlı Kadın study, written in a simple, successful and understandable style. On the novel in question, firstly, coherence, which is a micro structure construction study, and consistency, which is a macro structure construction study, and finally, a text analysis attempt was made by specifying the superstructure of the text.
