Abstract (EN)

This research, was carried out to determine the similarities of Middle East countries in terms of socio-economic and whether these similarities changed or not in historic process between the years of 1980-2017. In order to determine the similarities between the countries in the region, cluster analysis was preferred. It has analyzed with the aforementioned date was divided into five periods. This date ranges are; 1980, 1990, 2003, 2008, 2010 and 2017. Middle East countries which are called as traditional region countries and included in the research; Bahrain, Iran, Israel, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey, Yemen and Jordan has been specified as. In the cluster analysis, nine socio-economic indicators were used as time series. As a result of cluster analysis, for all periods, it has determined that Saudi Arabia and Turkey haven't showed variability in terms of socio-economic in the cluster but according to periods, other countries in the region have showed similar feature with different countries.
