The factors determining on attitudes and interests of the high school students for the art lesson

In the research, the interests and attitudes of the high school students towards the art lesson is worked on. The effective factors determining their interests and attitudes are tried to be clarified.During the research, the measure of interest and attitudes is used. This measure is prepared by the researcher by taking into accounts the suggestions of the expert people after searching about the information about this measure. It is applied to the high school students. It includes 31 choices. In these choices, five changeable matters are presented. These matters are related with the physical conditions, the socio-economic level of the family, the education system, social environment, and teacher. To measure the inner consistency of the interest and attitudes measure, ?Cronbach Alpha? is calculated and it is found out that the trust of the measure is 0.8026The research population is centred on the students attending to the state high schools in Ankara , during 2007-2008 education and teaching term. The sample of the research, the high school students who live in some districts of Ankara, such as Bala, Çankaya, Gölbaşı, Yenimahalle are searched on. The analyses of the results are done with the statistic programme ?SPSS 13.0?. While presenting the results, a describing statistic jargon is used; such as ?frequency?(f), ?the percent?(%).At the end of the research, the following data is reached:1)It is understood that physical conditions; such as crowd of the classrooms, order of the classrooms, working on desks, suitable place and a clear environment are effective on the interest and attitudes of the students towards the art lessons.2)It is seen that the socio-economic level of the family and their interests in social , cultural and artistic activities are determinant.3)The education system has an important role on the interests and behaviours of the high school students towards the art lesson.4)The social environment has a role on their interest and attitudes.5)The teacher is effective on the high school students? interests and attitudes towards to the art lessonsAt the end of the research paper, some solutions are suggested by the researcher.
