Abstract (EN)
In this study discussing the relationship between the concept of tribalism and religious attitude of the secondary school students, this relationship was attempted to be determined through the scales related to the concept of tribalism and religious attitude. Out of these scales, the attitude scale related to the concept of tribalism is the "Attitude Scale on the Concept of Tribalism" developed by the researcher to be used in this study. To determine the religious attitude, however, "Ok Religious Attitude Scale" was used. In addition to these scales, demographic information form, which is thought to possibly affect the attitudes of the students, was also used and the data was collected in the research. The data was obtained from the questionnaires applied to 611 students in 6 high schools, one of which is Imam Hatip high school, chosen with stratified sampling between 09.11.2015 – 0.12.2015 in Ağrı, Patnos. The data was analyzed with "single factor variance analysis" and "independent samples T-test". When the findings were evaluated in terms of demographic variables and the concept of tribalism, it is seen that attitude scale levels of the concept of tribalism were high in some categories. While the concept of tribalism was more intense in male students, Imam Hatip students, students with a large family structure, students whose fathers have a low educational level and students living in villages, the concept of tribalism was lower in female students, students studying in other schools, students with an elementary family structure, students whose fathers have a high educational level and students living in the city center. In terms of demographic variables, there were also differences in the religious attitudes. While religious attitude was more intense in Imam Hatip students and female students, it was lower in the students studying in other schools and male students. There was not any significant relationship between the concept of tribalism and religious attitude in the whole research sample. However, it is seen that Imam Hatip high school students have high levels both in the religious attitude and in the concept of tribalism. This makes us think that religious curriculum of these schools has an effect on the legitimization of the concept of tribalism contrary to our expectations.
