Secondary school inclusive students in written expressions determining active word wealth (Kütahya/Gediz example)

The aim of the study is to determine the vocabulary of the 7th and 8th grade inclusion students in the Gediz district of Kütahya in their written expressions. In the study, 15 inclusion students studying at 1 Eylül İmam Hatip, Atatürk, Fatih and Mehmetçik Secondary Schools located in Gediz district center, in the types of memoirs and autobiographies; Articles were written on the themes of Virtues, Sports-Art, National Struggle and Atatürk. At the end of the study day, the data obtained from the students were transcribed in Microsoft Word 2016, by writing nouns or verbs next to common root words, and homophones with their English meanings next to them; By using internet addresses, the total number of words in the texts and the frequency of repetition of the words in a plain text were listed and recorded. With the words in these lists, dictionaries were created according to the sub-problems used in the research and the total number of words and kinds of words were reached. Since there were absenteeism in some studies, a total of 65 text data were obtained. A total of 3553 words were used in all of these studies. While students used 923 kinds of words, they used 416 words more than once. The most repetitive word is the conjunction "and" with 90 repetitions. This word is followed by "many" with 79 repetitions and "one" with 72 repetitions. 6 students who used 18 idioms in total used 3 idioms more than once, 9 students did not use any idioms. 6 students used 10 reduplications in their writings, but 9 students did not use any reduplications in their writing. According to the results obtained from the data of the students in the studies, the most words were used with 826 words in the theme of National Struggle and Atatürk. 807 words were used in the genre of memoir, 741 in the theme of Virtues, 738 in the theme of Sports-Art, and 429 in the type of autobiography. Students with a special learning disability report used the most words with 1290 words. This number is followed by mild level with 1081 words, physical disability with 716 words, and hearing impairment with 429 words. The student with hearing impairment used the phrase the most. The student who used 7 idioms in total also used reduplication once. Students with a special learning disability report used 5 idioms and 5 reduplications. While students with mild reports did not use any idioms, they used 4 reduplications. Students with physical disabilities, on the other hand, used 5 idioms while not using reduplication at all.
