Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine the opinions of secondary school mathematics teachers about layered teaching method. The study was carried out with a study group consisting of 35 secondary school mathematics teachers working in public schools in various provinces of our country in the 2020-2021 academic year. Questionnaire forms developed by the researcher were used as data collection tool in order to determine the views of teachers about the layered teaching method. The analysis of the qualitative data obtained from the research was analyzed with the content analysis technique. When all the results of the research were evaluated together, it was seen that secondary school mathematics teachers generally used teacher-centered traditional teaching methods while teaching their lessons, and they believed that the methods in which the students were in the center should be used in order to ensure permanent learning. In addition, as a result of the findings of the research, it was determined that secondary school mathematics teachers do not have sufficient knowledge about student-centered teaching methods and layered teaching methods, but they are willing to receive training on these methods. Based on the results of the research, various suggestions were made.
