A qualified research on evoluation of conditions to implement teaching leadership behaviors of school principals in secondary schools

The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the situations of school principals perform teaching leadership roles, conducting a qualified research on the evaluation of the conditions to implement teaching leadership behaviors of school directors in secondary schools. The research was carried out in a phenomenological pattern of qualitative research methods. The semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as data collection instrument in the survey. The interview form developed as a means of data collection in the survey was given the final form as a result of the expert opinion's direction. The process of determining the participants, Criteria sampling from purposeful sampling methods were used. As a result of this research, it has been done under four themes in order to identify the situation of the school principals fulfilling the teaching leadership. According to this; i) explaining and sharing the targets s of the school ii) inspecting and improving the teaching iii) coordinating the teaching program iv) creating the positive learning climate theme. On the theme of explaning and sharing the targets of the school; it has been reached that school principals determined the school's mission and vision in accordance with the environmental conditions, paid attention to criteria while determining mission and vision, benefited from various mechanisms while sharing the school's targets, made an annual plan of the school related to education and teaching, evaluated whether the school has reached its own targets or not. On the theme of inspecting and improving the teaching; it has been reached that school principals visited the class, had set their purpose before visiting the classrooms and had the purpose of guiding and helping the teachers, visited each branch of lesson equally, gave the feedback after the visiting, paid attention to lots of elements such as arrangement and management of the classroom, took necessary precautions for teachers to enter and exit the class in time, made necessary warnings about the problems, directed the teachers to the academic guidance, current announcements, courses and seminars because teachers' professional development is important, offered to the teachers the opportunity to be a leader, provided the participants about education and teaching decision. On the theme of coordinating the teaching program; it has been reached that almost all the school principals organized the group meeting and branch teachers meeting, provided the necessary follow-up at these meetings, planned and put into practiced for the purpose of the school's achievement, made the necessary encouragement among teachers, took precaution not to divide the lesson whoever comes to see the students, entered courses as administrators when the teachers didn't come in any case or directed to the teachers who didn't have lessons to the classroom. On the theme of creating the positive learning climate; it has been reached that school principals organized some activities such as picnic, breakfast etc as they wanted to create unity and team spirit in school, congratulated and appreciated the successful teachers in order to consolidate these behaviors, proposed by senior superiors to award the achievement document, tried to spend time with teachers to encourage them to work at breaks, paid attention to student success and rewarded the students and made them honor at ceremonies, opened courses to increase student achievement, tried to cooperate with the parents, followed the learning situations of the students and shared it with their teachers, took the necessary precautions for the student with low academic achievement and that they are guided by the parents on this subject and they talk to the students and teachers on behalf of the extracurricular time evaluation organized by the course activities.
