Abstract (EN)
This study was designed to identify items to determine patient cooperation before treatment and methods that can improve cooperation. For this purpose, a survey consisting of 72 items was developed by scanning the literature to determine the items that other researchers found important about cooperation. The survey consists of two main parts. In the first part, questions aimed at identifying items that orthodontists can use to predict patient cooperation; In the second part, orthodontists' findings regarding cooperation as a result of the experiences they gained from their patients during the treatment process were evaluated using the same items. A survey prepared by e-mail was sent to 1,172 orthodontists who are members of the Turkish Orthodontic Association, and responses were received from 120 people. The relationship between the parameters that affect cooperation and can be used for prediction purposes and the cooperative experiences of orthodontists was examined.
