Abstract (EN)
23 honey samples were taken from Osmaniye and six different localities in 2012-2013 and pollen and physico-chemical analysis performed on these samples. Following the polen analysis, 119 taxa belonging to 48 families were detected. In samples, dominant polen types were Asteraceae, Carduus sp. , Fabaceae, Medicago sp. , Liliaceae, Asphodelus sp. , Plantaginaceae, Plantago sp. Asteraceae, Centaurea spp. , Cichorium intybus, Cistaceae, Cistus sp. , Fabaceae, Medicago sp. , Trifolium sp. , Vicia sp. , Lamiaceae Thymus sp. , Poaceae, Zea mays. , Rutaceae Citrus sp. , Salicaceae Salix sp. were the most represented taxas. The value in the results of the physicochemical analysis have been evaluated according to Turkish Food Codex Communique of Honey and the European Union standards. Accordingly, our honey samples moisture, acidity, pH, brix, electrical conductivity standarts is appropriate to term of the European Union and Turkish Food Codex Communique of Honey. Key Words: Honey, Phsicochemical and Pollen analysis, Osmaniye
