Abstract (EN)
His study analyzes the sectarian perceptions and sectarian affiliations in the ideas of Seyyid Bey, Mehmed Âkif Ersoy, İzmirli İsmail Hakkı, Ahmet Hamdi Akseki, Yusuf Ziya Yörükan and Mehmet Şemsettin Günaltay who lived in the Republican era. The study consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, it is given information about the scope, limitations, method and resources of the research. In the First Chapter, we discussed the effects of modernization in social, political, educational and other fields. In order to examine the effects of modernization movements on the intellectual life of the thinkers we have discussed, the lives of the thinkers were included and the criteria that caused the thinkers to be qualified as innovators were determined. In the Second Chapter, Islamist thinkers' ideas about the sect's perception are examined comparatively in line with classical and contemporary sources. The course of their ideas about the perception of the sect in the socio-political and religious-cultural background of the period was followed, and the originality and transformations of the ideas were analysed in detail. In the third chapter, the sectarian elements in the discussions on the relationship between Religion and Politics are analysed and discussed in line with the political atmosphere of the period. In this context, the intellectual approaches to religious education in the change process were analysed in space and time. In addition, the effects of the ideas put forward to save the Islamic world from underdevelopment in social life are discussed in the context of the idea-event connection. In the conclusion part, important inferences and findings identified throughout the study are included. Key words: Sayyid Bey, Akif, İzmirli, Akseki, Yörükan, Günaltay
