Abstract (EN)
In this study whose subject is the establishment and production process of the modern armory in the Ottoman Empire, the construction process, production, and employment of the modern armory will be discussed. With the historical development of firearm technology and its use by the Ottoman State, the developments in the Ottoman army until the establishment of the armory have been studied. In line with the army's need for weapons the establishment of a new armory and its production process will be analyzed in detail. In the conclusion of this research; it has been observed that the Ottoman State had some difficulties in the establishment process of both capital and foreign experts. After the production of the armory, the period between the years 1841-1848, the Ottomans produces many weapons and decreased or increased the production of weapons according to the need. In the conclusion of this study on which archive records are based, it has been observed that the Ottoman Empire made an intense effort in order to establish a modern and domestic arms industry.
