Abstract (EN)

This study aimed at evaluating resilience level in families with autistic children. A total of 164 parents of children who have no diagnosis of autism and who are diagnosed with autism and get service from rehabilitation centers. All parents are applied on Family Resilince Assessment Scale and test scores are analyzed. Challenging, Self Efficacy, Commitment to Life, and Control factors of this scale have been compared to demographic information of parents. Level of Self-Efficacy in families with autistic child was statistically lower compared to levels in families without autistic child. Parents' education level and marriage status had statistically significance with sub-factors of the scale (Challenging, Self-Efficacy, Commitment to Life). There were no statistically significance between demographic information (age, sex, monthly income, and working status) and sub factors of the scale.
