Study onthe life quali̇ty, anxiety and depression of patiends with implanted pacemaker

. In this study it has been aimed at evaluating the life quality, anxiety and depression levels of the patients who got PM implanted, in a definitive and correlative way. This study was practised at Gaziantep University Sahinbey Research and Application Hospital and The Ministry of Health Gaziantep Province The Association of Public Hospitals Dr. Ersin Arslan Training and Research Hospital Cardiology units on eighty seven volunteer patients between January 2016 and June 2016. The data used was collected through the patient information forms including socio-demographic information, SF-36 Life Quality Scale and HAD Scales.To carry out the survey all necessary permissions , including the permission of The Ethical Committee, were obtained. In evaluating the statistics t-test ( Students's t-test), one way variance analysis ( one way ANOVA), Post Hoc test – one of Lsd tests-, Krukal-Wallis test and Mann Whitney U test are used. The relationship between patients', who were included in the survey, sociodemographic features, PM implantation features, life quality, anxiety and depression was studied. In the study it was seen that of the socio-demographic features; female gender, loss of the spouse, being an elderly, living with a relative, being unemployed, having a low education level, having low income, and being suffered from at least one other chronic disease affect the life quality and anxiety, depression level in a negative way. It was stated that in the sub-dimension point averages generally the lowest one is physical function and the highest is social function. In the study it was determined that after PM implantation the patients' life quality is adversely affected and the patients are at risk regarding anxiety and depression.
