Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of organic fertilizer applied at different doses on the yield and fiber quality of cotton. This study was carried out at faculty of agriculture, department of field crops trail areas, Dicle University during 2018-2019 cotton growing season. The experiment was laid out at randomised complete block Split Plot Design with three replications. In this study cultivars (BA440, BA119, Gloria) formed main plots while dose applications (Control, 300ml, 200ml, 100ml) formed sub plots. Applications were conducted at cotton first squaring period. Effects on the yield and fiber quality of cotton were investigated by the application of organic fertilizer. Application of the organic fertilizer doses shows that there were significant differences among: Cotton yield, fiber strength, gining out, the node height of the first sympodial branch and the number of boll per plant. No any significant differences founded among cotton fiber index properties except fiber strength and there are neither significant differences founded between: 100 seed weight, the node number of the first sympodial branches, the number of monopodial branches, the number of sympodial branches, plant height and the weight of boll. According to our findings values of the research changed between; cotton yield 493.69 kg/da (300 ml/da dose on BA119 cultivar) and 243.73 kg/da (100 ml/da dose on Gloria cultivar), gining out %44.91 (300 ml/da dose on BA119 cultivar) and %42.04 (0 ml dose on BA119 cultivar), the node height of the first sympodial branch 24.77 cm (300 ml/da dose on Gloria cultivar) and 15.5 cm (100 ml/da dose on BA119 cultivar), the number of boll per plant 14.4 number/plant (300 ml/da dose on BA119 cultivar) and 12.83 number/plant (100 ml/da dose on BA440 cultivar), fiber strength 36.3 (100 ml/da dose on Gloria cultivar) and 30.93 (200 ml dose on BA119/da cultivar)
