Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to highlight the dilemma that Paul Morel lived in his adulthood between his spiritual desires and bodily desires, the effects of this dilemma on his social and sexual relations, the main factors behind this dilemma by focusing on his personality development stages. His childhood experiences will be discussed by exploring the problems that he has encountered in his personality development stages according to Freud's theory of personality development. It will also deal with the Oedipus complex that Paul has suffered from, which is the result of the problems that he has lived, while passing the stages of his childhood.
