Abstract (EN)

In order to understand the effect of pollutants on air quality, an air quality modelling was created for Payas Organised Industrial Zone.ISCST3 model, developed by EPA, was used as air dispersion model. Dust emission was measured to use in the study: By sampling dusts from Payas Organised Indutsrial Zone, the concentration of PM10, suspended particulate matter, and the dust on the ground were measured using ISCST3 model.In addition to the measurements for air pollutants, some noise measurements were also carried out simultaneously in order to determine the environmental noise level. Through the study, hourly, daily, montly and yearly mean pollution levels were determined and compared with the threshold levels given in official codes and regulations. As a result of these comparisons, the effects of the dust to be emitted into the atmosphere on regional air quality and its distribution were studied. As a result, the effect of the dust emission on regional air quality was determined.
