Abstract (EN)

The dependence on energy, which has become a necessary condition for a quality continuation of human life, has reached its maximum levels in the 21st century, and together with the tendency of traditional energy sources to run out, the endless tensions around the world will increase the importance of energy day by day, and studies support that the need for energy will increase. The scientific world has increased its efforts to solve energy shortages, which is one of the important factors that may prevent the peaceful universe mission, and attaches importance to research and development activities on various renewable energy methods. With the increasing importance of renewable energy sources, the interest in biomass has also increased. Inefficient production, which is one of the most common problems in pellet production, and low maintenance and repair periods, which slow down the process, deter producers. In this study, it is aimed to make efficiency and life-enhancing improvements on the roller pellet presses, which are widely used in obtaining pellet biomass. Raw material crushing during the process in pellet presses is associated with Herztian pressures based on the contact pressure application of two different bodies, and different press roll diameters are modeled with the relevant pressure type and the results are compared. As a result of the calculations and real environment tests, it has been seen that the increase in drum diameter in pellet presses creates an increase in process efficiency. The fact that there are many uncertainties affecting the result in pellet pressing processes has shown that there is a potential for studies on this subject.
