A field research on personnel empowerment process and dimensions

Many developments such as international competition, globalization, change in customer expectations and requiements Today, organizations are demanding more from their employees than ever before. This posion make human resources more and more important in organizastions. In today's working environment the traditional command and control hierarchies of the past are increasingly less appropriate. Instead, employees must learn to take initiative, to be creative and to accept responsibility for their actions. They need to be "empowered". Empowerment aims to share the power with the employee and by this way it provides them to gain their self confidence to increase their work performance and to make individual contribution for the success of the corporation. As a philosophy of management, empowerment is based on sharing the information, education and development. It is a long-term process and requires patience in practice and taking its results. In addition to literature search, a survey has been conducted at industryleading. In this part, employee empowerment studies have been handled in terms of different variables. Suggestions have been offered after evaluating the results and more employee empowerment has been suggested.
