Abstract (EN)

The level of CO2 in the atmosphere and climate change constitute a significant concern worldwide. In this study, to create a solution for CO2 high level, it was aimed to capture CO2 sourced by industry and to convert biomethane which is a renewable energy. In this context, simulated gases and real stack gases were performed. In the first step of the study, a novel HYBRID bioreactor configurationwere operated. Various H2/CO2 ratios and volumetric gas feding rates are investigated. The most efficient biomethane production was H2/CO2: 4:1 as expected due to stoichiometry of hydrogenotrophic methanation. The biomethane in the head gas component was 86%. Methanogenic biodiversity in the reactor was analyzed by PZR and DGGE techniques. It was observed that hydrogenotrophic methanogens were dominant in the reactor. The biomethane in the head gas component was 80% and there was no toxic effect. In the second step, four differents materials; (MBBR, glass bead, pumice and glass roller) were used in the immobilized bioreactors. Biomethane in effluent were 80%, 75%, 65 ve 78% respectively. The results obtained in this study can provide a sustainable and environmental model with carrying a great potential of both to utilize waste gas CO2 and to convert it to renewable energy for all industries in our country.
