Abstract (EN)

A country's future depends on the quality of education system. When considered from this point of view; every country has to provide the best education service to its citizens. Some of them are in very high level; others stay in very low level when compared the county's education system each other through various assessment and evaluation instruments. The PISA (International Student Assessment Program) project is being implemented among the member countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in determining the differences between countries. By this exam, certain qualities are tried to measure. In this regard, the most successful educations systems of Far East Countries have been examined comparatively with Turkish Education System. In addition, similarities and differences have been tried to be determined in terms of structure and functioning at the present time. However, it seems that Turkey has been in the lower rank in the exams and has not achieved sufficient success. That's why; the systems of successful countries need to be examined. In the research, document review was used from the qualitative research methods and suggestions were made to improve the Turkish Education System.
