Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research, to investigate the methods of determination of effective area and pressure distortion coefficient of the piston-cylinder unit which is the basic measurement element of pressure balance that used in primary level presure measurements as reference standard.The effective area and pressure distortion coefficient of piston-cylinder units are the most significant parameters in terms of design and metrological characterization of pressure balances. When the effective area and pressure distortion coefficient that affects the effective area are determined with high accuracy, and hence pressure measurements are done with high accuracy.In this research, experimental and theoretical methods for determination of effective area and pressure distortion coefficient are analysed in detailed way and it?s evaluated which method is suitable in which situation by comparing them.
