Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this thesis is to experimentally investigate the performance parameters of the organic waste gasification system with plasma cone reactor. In this regard, experimental performance parameters have been calculated by using the data obtained from tests and performance experiments using 25 kg of organic waste. Thus, start-up time for 25 kg of organic waste was determined as 6-8 minutes in test experiments, 4-6 minutes in performance experiments, and working time as 55 minutes in test experiments and 37 minutes in performance experiments. Additionally; i) Organic waste consumption rates are calculated to be 27.27 kg.h-1 in tests and 40.54 kg.h-1 in performance works, ii) Specific gasification rates are found to be 217 kg.m-2h-1 in tests and 322 kg.m-2h-1 in performance works, iii) Gasification velocity are estimated to be 0.74 m.h-1 in tests and 1.14 m.h-1 in performance works, iv) Gasification zone ratios are determined to be 0.44 in tests and performance works, v) Energy amount of carried by the organic waste to the system is found to be 17,35 MJ.h-1 in test and performance experiments , vi) The amount of energy carried by produced gas is found to be 92.79 MJ.h-1 in tests and 154.20 MJ.h-1 in performance experiments, vii) Equivalence ratios are found to be 0.36 in tests and 0.24 in performance works, viii) Plasma energy ratios are determined to be 19.2% in tests and 11.8% in performance works, ix) Vapor-air mass ratios are 9.1% in tests and 13.5% in performance works, x) Argon-air mass ratios are calculated to be 4.84% in tests and 7.2% in performance works, xi) Hot gas efficiencies are estimated to be 54.98% in tests and 71.43% in performance experiments, xii ) Cold gas efficiencies are found to be 49.50% in tests and 63.80% in performance works, xiii) Thermal efficiencies are determined to be 51.48% in tests and 77.60% in performance works.
