Abstract (EN)

With this study, anatomy and floret micromorphology of Poa jubata A. Kern were studied for the first time. Cross sections of root, stem and leaf of the taxon were examined and images of the cross sections were obtained by Light Microscopy (LM). Glume and lemma surface images were examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). According to obtained results, P. jubata roots consists of epidermis, exodermis, cortex, endodermis, pericycle and central cylinder regions. Dimensions of vascular bundles, number of cell lines of sclerenchyma were determined on the cross sections of stem. Long cells were seen and their dimensions were measured on the SEM images of glume and lemma. Crown cells, silica body and epicuticular waxes were seen among short cells in both florets. However, prickle and macro hairs were not seen.
