Abstract (EN)

In this study, polymeric phase change materials were produced and experimentally investigated in order to improve thermal properties of hard polyurethane foams commonly used to provide thermal insulation in cooling applications. Micro-encapsulated phase change materials with two different melting temperatures are included in polyurethane foams in different ratios. In order to determine the structural and thermal properties of polyurethane foams with 8 different microcapsulated phase change materials produced, the samples were analyzed with Scanning Electron Microscope, Differential Scanning Calorimeter and Thermogravimeter devices and thermal conductivity coefficient measurements of each sample were made. As a result of the analyzes, each sample was examined in-house according to different parameters and in the next step, comparative evaluations were performed.
