Abstract (EN)
Wood dust is used as a filler content in the polymer industry most commonly in Polyprophylene (PP), Polythylene (PE) and Polyvinyl Cloride (PVC) Theorotical studies, practical applications and experimental studies have been made about production mehodology, alternative improvement methods of the final product efficiency-increasing operations and critical spesifications on the optimum product line of the polymer wood composites.(PWC)In the first part of study literature investigation of the existing technologies is made. Regarding the literature investigations producers made similar resolutions on the application difficulties such as obligation to work at very low moisture percentages, high back pressure, high mould and die pressure and low efficiency, however these difficulties still limit production quality and costs.In the second part general properties of wood and possible enhancements are mentioned.In the third part basic principles of viscous flow and practice of these principles on polymer wood composites are mentioned. Also some of the well known polymer wood composite formulationn are given and mentioned spesific properties of these formulations.In the fourth part Basic theory of fluidized bed dryer is mentioned because of the fact that disorder caused by the hydrophilicy of LM. In the end of the fourth part, design calculations and 3D model of ?Fluidized Bed with Integrated Infrared Heated Drying System? and 3D model of the system is given.In the fifth part practical operation of polymer wood composites are mentioned. Practical working data is also givenIn the conclusion part results of the experimental tests and mechanical inspection data is given. Finally results are disscussed and important clues are given about optimum system in PWC, alternative production line designs and operating conditions.
